CENTURA-ST. ANTHONY SUMMIT MEDICAL CENTER ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL MEDICAL SPONSOR
OF HIGH COUNTRY SOCCER ASSOCIATION
High Country Soccer Association is proud to announce a three-year partnership with Centura-St. Anthony
Summit Medical Center, beginning this fall. As a premier partner and the Official Medical Sponsor of High
Country Soccer, Centura has committed to supporting soccer players of all ages throughout Summit
County.
This partnership will ensure that High Country Soccer Association (which includes Summit Strikers FC) can
initiate new programs and enhance existing programs for its members – from “Tot Soccer” to recreational
and travel youth soccer, all the way up to adult leagues.
High Country Soccer Association Executive Director Miriam Hickey thanked Centura-St. Anthony Summit
Medical Center for its commitment to help develop soccer in Summit County.
“It has been the mission of the soccer club to provide a positive experience for players of every age and
skill level, regardless of their financial capabilities,” Hickey said. “We envision the Association as a
community development tool; one that brings together people from all backgrounds and cultures in a
healthy and safe environment. This partnership allows us to continue to build on the work of past coaches
and staff, and I am looking forward to collaborating with Centura and contributing to the bright future of
soccer in Summit County.”
“Since opening the original Summit Medical Center in the 1970s, it’s been our mission to bring whole
person care – mind, body and spirit – to all Summit County residents,” said Lee Boyles, CEO of Centura-St.
Anthony Summit Medical Center. “As our community has grown, so to has our commitment to its health
needs. In partnering with High Country Soccer, we’re thrilled to provide critical support to an organization
that touches the lives – and health – of so many residents, from youths to adults.”
“Last year was a challenging one for our club, as it was for everyone,” said Michael Proulx, President of
the High Country Soccer Association Board. “But as an organization we were extremely proud to do our
part in providing some sense of normalcy and worked hard to get the community outside and active during
a time when it was needed more than ever. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary as a club, it is exciting
to be partnering with an organization like Centura-St. Anthony Summit that delivers critical support to our
community.”
